ABSTRACT
The aim of our study was to determine the influence of microirrigation and organic fertilization on the
vitality of white birch (Betula pendula Roth) seedlings and the occurrence of soil mites (Acari) after edaphon
inoculation. Nursery experiments were carried out in 2003-05. It was found that the studied factors influenced
seedling vigour, soil properties and the occurrence of mites.
