Its Known Distribution Range

ABSTRACT
A record of Vulpicida tubulosus collected in 1985 in northern Poland, based on unpublished herbarium
material, extends its geographic range. Based on a recent field study of the locality as well as recent and historical
literature, the origin of this previous population is discussed, and notes on the distribution and ecology
of the taxon in general are provided. Attempts to obtain molecular data from the specimen have failed, but the
presence of contaminating fungi is discussed.
