ABSTRACT
This paper presents the results of determinations of radiocesium and plutonium activity concentrations
and some heavy metals in soil samples from two main Tatra Valleys: Kościeliska and Rybi Potok Valley. The
results were obtained during 2001. It has been found that the content of 137Cs and 239+240Pu is much higher at
altitudes over 1300 m asl.
