ABSTRACT
The sulphate reducing bacteria from the genus Desulfotomaculum ruminis were applied for biological purification of the wastes from alcohol industry. The optimum conditions were established for conduction of the process of desulfurication (temperature, pH, sulphates and phosphates concentrations) at which the maximum decrease in COD of 68.5% and the sulphates reduction by 84% were achieved
